Episode 2: Running a Successful Christian Race

Hello, trust God your day is going as planned. As earlier promised, these are some biblical passages I believe can help to enable remain on track while running the eternal race. Read, digest and practice them.

1.      Philippians 2: 16
Holding forth the word of life; that i may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

2.     Philippians 3:14
I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.

3.     2 Timothy 4:7-8
I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.

4.     1 Corinthians 9: 24-27
24Do you not know that in a race all the runners compete, but [only] one receives the price? So run [your race] that you may lay hold [of the prize] and make it yours.
25Now every athlete who goes into training conducts himself temperately and restricts himself in all things. They do it to win a wreath that will soon wither, but we [do it to receive a crown of eternal blessedness] that cannot wither.
26Therefore I do not run uncertainly (without definite aim). I do not box like one beating the air and striking without adversary.
27But [like a boxer] I buffet my body [handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships] and subdue it, for fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel and things pertaining to it, I myself should become unfit [not stand the test, be unapproved and rejected as a counterfeit].

5.     Hebrews 12:2
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

6.     Titus 3:7
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

7.     Hebrews 13:9
Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods, which is of no benefit to those who do so.

8.     Hebrews 12:1
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,

So glad you are here, are the tips helpful? It will be a pleasure if you add to the list, iron sharpens iron, the scriptures say. Don’t leave without dropping a comment. Enjoy the rest of the day.
