We all want to avoid the pain or discomfort of doing something we feel is boring, stupid, pointless, hard, complicated, risky; emotionally painful and so on. However, we all know we will have to do it eventually. Often times, we get stuck in a vicious circle of doing too little of both what we want and what we don’t want. Here are 7 ways to crush procrastination and move forward.

You can Escape Materialism and be Happy
In the words of George Burn; Happiness is having a large,
loving, caring, close-knit family in another city.
Money cannot buy love; neither can it buy happiness. In
contrast, our materialistic world often urges us to buy the coolest gadgets,
trendiest clothes, bigger and better things. But, research has shown that
possessions and purchases don’t buy us happiness.

The Secret Habit to Success
Forming
habits is a skill that takes practice, and as with any skill, it’s best to
start with the very basics; at the smallest and easiest level, and practice it
until you are good at it before moving on to more difficult levels.
Let’s Discuss Finance: How to Get Financial Peace of Mind
It’s a

that will keep the stress of money to a minimum.
Book review: Greatest Salesman in the World
This self-help classic from best-selling author Og Mandino has been around since 1968, and yet a surprising number of people in this generation have not read it or even heard about ‘The Greatest Salesman in the World’ . It’s a small book with some powerful principles, written in a compelling, clear style that makes for a quick read followed by a lot of reflection.

Three Simple Secrets to Happiness
We all know that money can’t buy happiness, but many times, we act as if we will be happier if we had more money. We are conditioned to
want to be rich (when we know the rich aren’t happy either); we are trained to
want the latest gadget or styles in vogue; we want to earn
more money because we will have the good life. But none of that will bring
us happiness.
Weekly Review: Goal revitalization time
Earlier this week, I challenged you to re-strategise
by thinking about your goal and trying to develop them. Step 1 of this process
was to think about what you’d like people to say about you at your funeral
and Step 2 was to jot down ideas for life goals you will like to achieve before
you die. Step 4 was to break it down.

I Heard You Need a Push
This article is a
list of tips and tricks that, if used in combination, are a nearly sure way to
achieve your goals. Achieving goals is not a matter of having “discipline”.
It’s a matter of motivating yourself, and keeping your focus on your goal.
Follow these tips, or any combination of them that works for you, and you
should have the motivation and focus you need.
Relax and Celebrate Your Self
Too often we are hard on ourselves and feel bad
about our lack of progress. We feel guilty that we have missed a couple of opportunities,
our progress in achieving our goals are hindered or that we made a really
terrible decision. But, that’s like looking at the glass as half empty, and it
is almost guaranteed to hinder your progress towards your goal.
10 Habits to Develop for Financial Stability and Success
I read this article on Leo
Baubata’s blog and thought it wise to share. I hope you
will find it useful. Just
like any goal; getting your finances stable and becoming financially successful
requires the development of good financial habits. I’ve been researching this
topic extensively in the last few years in my quest to eliminate debt, increase
my savings and increase financial security for my family. I will talk more
about these habits individually, but wanted to list them in a summary.

I Care About You
From time to time, we all get a little down or
depressed. Sometimes, we feel overwhelmed or bad because we are not doing well
with our goals. Feeling a little depressed can interfere with achieving our
goals. We know we should be doing something, but we just don’t feel like doing
anything. This can last for a long time if you don’t take them off your mind as
soon as possible and take action.
Reviewing Your Goals
How
often do you review your goals? Annually or Bi-annually? If so, you are
definitely ahead of people who have not set theirs. Nevertheless, I recommend a
more frequent review period that will seem like overkill for some people; I
personally believe this is a key to maintaining focus on your goals and
actually making them a reality. The key habit to actualizing your goals is
to review your goals at least once a week.
What If You Re-strategise
There is never a good time to sit down and think
about what you want to accomplish in life. We all have busy lives, and even
when you are not busy, we often feel more like whiling away in front of the television
or surfing the internet than thinking about the rest of our lives.

Let’s Discuss Economic Recession
Economic
recession is one of the major problems grinding most world economies at the
moment. Almost every individual and organisation is affected by the recession
currently ravaging world economy. It has gotten so bad that the price of dollar to
Naira has doubled just in a span of one year. Companies are cutting cost,
laying off staff and diversifying just to maximise profit and stay in business.

Episode 5: Design And Branding (Final Episode)
On a final note, an
organisation’s brand is a whole set of associations which people make when they
think about or encounter that business.
A
common misconception – and one that designers are always at pains to correct is
that a brand is simply a logo or identity. The logo is just one manifestation
of a brand, although it’s often a top-level communication, seen most frequently
by the greatest number of people.

and issues that are worth considering:
Episode 3: How To Communicate, Manage and Develop Your Brand Identity
How to communicate, manage and develop your
brand identity; Permit me to rephrase this into two sections, namely;
1. The key ingredients of any brand.
2. Brand Management Techniques.
THE KEY
INGREDIENTS OF ANY BRAND.
In this
section, the four cornerstones of any good brand will be outlined using
examples from the business world.
Defining
your brand: If you’re thinking about
how to rebrand your business, its products or services, you want to assess
where your brand stands at present, there are a few key aspects you should
consider:
Episode 2: How Brands Are Changing
In the last few years, digital communications revolution has completely transformed the balance of control. Consumer's voice has become louder and much more public: Consumers can publish their experience of a brand and compare it with the experience of others. The ability of a brand to respond to this can have a profound effect on the way they are perceived. This is also affecting the types of brand that achieve prominence.
